Description: Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of blindness in people aged 55 or over. Early symptoms include blurring to the centre of your vision and the distortion of straight lines. If you experience these symptoms, dont put it down to age or the need for new glasses, see your Optician today, or talk to your GP. Regular eye health checks with your Optician are recommended. RNIB: Creating a braille book

Description: An average book or novel will be made up of five volumes of braille. The largest book in the RNIB Library is the Viking Opera Guide which is in 94 volumes of braille, occupying 2.5 metres of shelving! Here is a short film on the making of a braille book.
